Personally, I think all banks, and bank owners, should be strung up! We are currently fighting with our bank - here's a quick synopsis: They owe us money, but this bank has a policy that their branch managers have zero authority. Branch manager sends us to Customer Service because, he admits, we have a far better chance of getting results ourselves via this route - than if he tries to step in on our behalf! We go to Customer Service, and can't even finish our explanation of the situation before we are quite rudely shut up by the rep. with a curt "I've never heard of what you're describing, so we'll do absolutely nothing for you!"
On 2nd thought - stringing them up would be too kind!
Phos: I somehow doubt that a mass killing is the answer. But we, as always, value your input.
Curious: That's terrible. Did you try a certified letter? And I've never worked with the FDIC, but I think helping consumers settle bank disputes is part of their job.
